Apart from making the digital speaker more compatible for all third party appliances, Google also added the much-needed feature to its fine Google speaker- volume powering ability for timers and alarms. Previously, all the playback, including alarm tones, responses, and music from the Google home were of equal sound. But, now you can simply power up the volume of timers and alarms on an independent basis.
Way of managing the alarms in the fine Google home app
In order to set the timer or alarm, you will have to use your voice. Say like:
- “OK, Google set my alarm for (time)”.
- “OK, Google, set a timer for (time).
- “OK, Google, how much time is remaining on my Timer?”
Now, to make out the adjustments to the sound of the end of the timer or the fine alarm, you will simply need to move on into the Settings of the Google home app. To get on the settings for the alarm and timers:
- Unlock the Google home app on Android or iOS.
- Either head on to click the Devices button (the image of a speaker right in front of a TV) in the top right corner of the app or go to click the Hamburger button in the top left corner in order to expand the menu and then click Devices.
- Click the action overflow button in the upper right section of the card for the fine Google home speaker and click Settings.

From there, you just need to drag the slider in order to fix the specific volume for all the timers and volumes. If you got more than one Google home speaker, then you will need to dig the Settings for each speaker of Google home to edit the alarms on various devices. Unfortunately, there is no facility to customize the tone of the alarm. And the set volume for all the alarms and timers will remain the same, as there is no way to individually set the volumes for specific alarms.
